It was an honor to be selected in the Artist of Hawai`i 2023 exhibition at the Downtown Art Center from November 3, 2023 to November 25, 2023. Over one thousand pieces were submitted and after 2 rounds, around 115 pieces were selected for the exhibition by juror Tyler Cann. Mr. Cann selected Dana's "Waimanalo Carnival", a black and white photograph with sepia tone. The photo was taken with the Nikon film camera given to Dana from her grandma when she was in high school. The photo was hand developed by Dana. The country feeling with the salty ocean air of Waimanalo represents one of the great places that Dana loves.
