The 2024 American Society of Landscape Architecture Conference took place in Washington DC. Serving the first of three years as ASLA Hawai`i Chapter's Trustee is an honor and a pleasure to represent ASLA and our beautiful islands. Traveling to DC by way of Boston and flying out from Virginia through New York was quite a wonderful adventure of meetings, tours of the ASLA DC Headquarters, tours of the United States Capitol, the Smithsonian, the National Mall, Dumbarton Oaks Museum and Gardens, Boston's Freedom Trail, Boston Common, Harvard Museum of Natural History Glass Flowers, Historical Harper's Ferry, and Shenandoah National Park to name a some of the many places that we visited. It was a informative trustee meeting and a wonderful East Coast experience.
